A Paradigm Shift in Refractive Surgery

AQUARIUZ introduces Wet Ablation Technology, a breakthrough innovation that preserves the cornea’s natural hydration during treatment. The AQUARIUZ is intended for gentle, odorless, and quiet surgical experience for both surgeon and patient.

The Aquariuz explained:

Groundbreaking Wet Ablation Technology

As the next-generation solid‑state ablation laser, its unique wavelength is designed to operate in the cornea’s natural, hydrated state. During AQUARIUZ ablation, a thin, micrometer-scale water film forms on the corneal surface. This contrasts with excimer laser ablation, where surface dehydration of the stroma occurs.

Designed to deliver improved predictability, smoother ablation profiles and enhanced treatment reliability across varying corneal hydration levels, AQUARIUZ is delivers a new story.

«One of the most impressive features of the AQUARIUZ laser is its gasless operation that is non-dependent on room temperature or humidity. This stability ensures consistent and reliable results, eliminating the variables that could previously affect the accuracy of procedures.»

Engineered for Surgeon Comfort

Hydration Preservation: Greater Peace of Mind

Operate confidently without the pressure of racing the clock once the flap is lifted or wiping away excess moisture. AQUARIUZ’s solid‑state wavelength is absorbed by stromal collagen but not by water, enabling ablation in the cornea’s natural hydrated state throughout treatment.

Low Hydration Sensitivity: Designed for refractive accuracy

AQUA Treatments aim to reduce hydration‑driven variability and support predictable results across different hydration states.

Gasless Operation: Simplified Upkeep

As a solid‑state ablation laser, AQUARIUZ eliminates the gas requirements of traditional excimer systems. No purchasing, storing, maintaining, or monitoring gas cylinders – reduce the logistics and maintenance for you and your team.

Intuitive UI: Accelerated Learning

AQUARIUZ features a clean, touch‑first interface with streamlined controls. It’s designed to shorten the learning curve, support smooth onboarding, and help you work with confidence and ease from the very first cases.

«The AQUARIUZ opens unimagined possibilities in corneal refractive surgery. Our initial clinical results demonstrate very good safety and efficacy. Water has a low absorption in the operating wavelength range of the AQUARIUZ. In this sense the ablation process is less susceptible to environmental influences, less dependent on tissue hydration and gentler on tissue interaction.»
